| By Road |
| From Hay/Hereford Take the first signposted right hand turn off the A483 to Brecon. This leads you in past the Bishops Meadow, an unmistakable motel complex on your right. The view to the left is rather better. Carry straight on at the next junction. This will lead you into Brecon along The Struet. Turn right over the bridge in front of the Bull's Head pub and first left onto Postern. Castle House is the last house on the right. |
| From Abergavenny At the roundabout on the A40, take the second exit signed Brecon. Follow the road into the town, past a Safeway garage on your left and the Barracks on your right. Follow the one- way system around the town until you get to the traffic lights (there is only one set of lights in the town itself…), and turn left. Take the third right immediately before the bridge. Take the first road on the right, past the Castle Hotel, and then first left onto Postern. Castle House is the first house on the left. |
| From Cardiff , Swansea , Llandovery At the A470/A40 roundabout on the western edge of town follow the Brecon sign. The road leads you in through Llanfaes, with Christ College School on your right. You cross the Usk Bridge and turn left. Take the first road on the right, past the Castle Hotel, and then first left onto Postern. Castle House is the first house on the left. |
| From Builth Wells The ‘B4520' road from Builth comes into Brecon down a steep hill. Go down the hill until you see the Cathedral on your left. With the wall of the Cathedral complex on your left, the road descends and bends round to the left. Just around the bend you will find a turning on the right: this is Postern. Castle House is the last house on the right. |
